Fethiye & Oludeniz

Fethiye is one of the most popular resorts due to its extreme loveliness. Set on a wide bay, strewn with many islands. The town is 135 kms southwest of Marmaris and has an outstanding and busy marina. The ancient name of the city is Telmessos and you will see a fortress on the hill overlooking the city which was built by Knights of Rhodes.

Fethiye is known for its rock tombs carved into the faces of the cliffs by the Lycians. These are elaborately carved and an especially remarkable; one is the tomb of Amnytas dating from the 4th century BC built in Doric architectural style. It is worth well visiting. Other historical places in the city are the Sarcopaghi and the Fethiye Tower.

The Beach and the Sovalye Island are real the destinations for those who like to enjoy the most beautiful sea. Belcegiz Bay is also good for such a visit and provides natural mountain scenery. The guest houses (pansiyon) here, will give you all the comfort you expect. The bay forms the dreamlike Belcegiz - Ölüdeniz (Blue Lagoon) known as "a paradise that God granted to Earth", a very fine place with 3 kms of natural beach and crystal blue waters in enchanting surroundings. For camping, Belcegiz Beach is ideal, and for picnicking try the Kidiril Park, for sightseeing the Gemiler Islands with their Byzantine ruins among the pine trees are recommenced. At Koturumsu, a heaven like beauty awaits you, where you may reach only by boat. There are waterfalls flowing across valleys where thousands of butterflies, exhibiting tremendous shades of colors, fly amongst the pine forest bordering of the lovely beach. Some of the other natural attractions are Katranci Bay, Gunluk (Kusuk Kargi) Bay, Oyuktepe, Göcek with its harbor and marina. Lately, parachuting from Baba mountain became one of the most popular sports and it gives magnificent views for people flying over this great beach lagoon.

Around Fethiye, there are important ancient cities of the Lycians. To the southeast of Fethiye lies Xanthos at Kinik village, an important capital of Lycians. Its setting is naturally adorned while Letoon, by Kumluova village and close to Xanthos, is also interesting. Letoon was a cult center during the Lycian period and remains can be seen of temples dedicated to Leto, Artemis and Apollo. Patara by Ovagelmis, Pinara by Minare, Tlos by Doger, Cadianda by Yesil Üzümlü, Sidyma by Dodurga, Karmilassos by Kaya, Pydnai by Kavadere, Araxa by Ören, Lydoe by Kapidag, Lissa and Arsada by Kayadibi, and Daedela by Inlice are other significant sites to visit in the environs of Fethiye. There are also many camping and picnicking facilities around Fethiye.

Speciality Holidays

Walking Holidays

When hiking in Turkey, one can discover the beauties of unspoilt nature and the local culture that have been in peace and balance for centuries. Though Babadag is located near the touristic seaside town of Oludeniz, this will be left behind after a few paces stepping on the slopes of the mountain into the real nature.

The Babadag path was marked in '99, reaching the summit of 1969 meters, inspired by the previously marked path of Tahtali mountain starting near Beycik village of Kemer/Antalya. Completion of the great project, the Lycian way, followed these pioneering paths. It would be unfair to compare Babadag hiking route with the latter, since their purposes are different. One is a short hike from the coast to the summit, but the other is a 500 km long route starting near Fethiye to near Antalya, or the other way round, following the roads used at ancient times.

It's uncommon to find a sudden height difference of almost 2000 meters from the sea level, that allows hiking in one day. Because of this property and its location with favourable climate conditions, Babadag has become a worldwide popular place for paragliding sport.

3-7 Day Gulet Cruise

We are able to offer 3 days - 1 week on a Private Gulet sailing around the famous coastline known in yachting circles as the 'Blue Cruise'.
Picture yourselves in the lap of luxury on your own traditional wooden Gulet ship with a private crew and the power to decide your own itinerary or ask the captain to choose for you. All meals are cooked and served on the boat, with the option to moor at local harbours to sample the restaurants.

After a week of lazing on the boat around the coast you then transfer to our wonderful hotel, nestling in the mountains above the famous Olu Deniz and the 'Blue Lagoon'. From here you can choose whether to relax by the pool and on beach, or take a few trips in land to visit some of the local sites including Roman and Lycian ruins.

Scuba Diving:

If you have ever fancied getting your PADI Openwater Diving qualification while relaxing by the pool and diving off the boat into clear, warm Mediterranean is your chance!

If you can swim and want to discover the depths of the cleanest part of the, Mediterranean, you can join the scuba diving tours in Fethiye, which will take you to the magic of the depths with the staff all licensed and experienced (BSAC, CMAS, PADI, DIWA, SSI, IDC courses available!).  During this tour, -if you are lucky- you have the chance to see the dolphins and even the sea turtles passing by. And another important thing is, to see the historical wealth of Fethiye Gulf also under the sea!

Turkey is one of the easiest places to get a taste of scuba diving, with anything from one-day unqualified Try-Dives for complete beginners to experience the wonder of the underwater kingdom, to specific trips for experiences and qualified divers on cave dives and night dives in addition to the wide range of open-water diving.

The sea is magnificently clear with great visibility and a wide variety of sea life to entertain and enthrall any diver.
